Street Fighter Run 2027: An AI Visibility Baseline, 157 Days Before the Starting Gun

The subject: a licensed event with a hard start date

Street Fighter 6 Run Hong Kong — “Run to The K.O.” is a Capcom-licensed, SF6-themed fun run and gaming carnival making its Hong Kong debut on Sunday 28 March 2027 at GO PARK Sports, Sai Sha (1 km, 2 km and 4 km categories; individual HK$599, pair HK$1,098). Tickets went on sale exclusively via Klook on 16 October 2026. Six days later, Visora captured a complete one-day baseline of how AI engines and search treat the event — because a ticketed event does not have the luxury of slow discovery: every week of invisibility is a week of unsold entries.

Method: one dated pass, five query families, seven engines

On 22 October 2026, between 12:04 and 12:40, five queries were put to seven engines — ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google Search, Doubao (豆包) and Perplexity — producing 35 dated screenshots. Every query below is reproduced exactly as typed; anyone can re-run them. Verdicts were assessed per screenshot and every shot, verdict and note is published in the screenshot portfolio.

Query (verbatim)FamilyWhat it tests
“What is Street Fighter Run in Hong Kong”Brand question (English)Does the engine know what the event is?
“Street Fighter Run Hong Kong”Bare keyword (English)What surfaces with no question frame?
“街頭霸王6路跑香港”Brand name (Chinese)Same test in the event's Chinese name
“香港IP主題路跑2027”Category (Chinese)Is it recommended among HK IP-themed runs 2027?
“Hong Kong IP themed run in 2027”Category (English)Same category test in English

Finding 1 — The brand question is in good shape

On “What is Street Fighter Run in Hong Kong”, all seven engines answered correctly — dates, venue, distances, pricing, the lot. For an event six days into ticket sales, that is a genuinely strong start: the announcement wave (Klook listing, Capcom-adjacent social posts, Threads and Instagram) gave the engines fresh, consistent facts to draw on.

EngineWhat the answer showedVerdict
ChatGPTCorrect profile — SF6-licensed fun run, Sun 28 Mar 2027, GO PARK Sports; Klook cited✅ Correct
CopilotCorrect zh profile — 1/2/4 km at 西沙 GO PARK, Klook + RunHotel cited✅ Correct
DoubaoCorrect profile (29 sources searched); notes it is a fun run, not a Capcom tournament✅ Correct
GeminiCorrect debut details; the event microsite (Cloudflare Pages) cited twice✅ Correct
Google AIAI Mode summary correct — HK$599/HK$1,098 pricing, three race categories✅ Correct
Google SearchEvent microsite #1 organic (“Home | Street Fighter 6 Run Hong Kong 2027”)✅ Correct
PerplexityCorrect profile with race table (4/2/1 km); RunHotel among sources✅ Correct

Finding 2 — Remove the question mark and the cracks appear

The bare keyword “Street Fighter Run Hong Kong” — closer to how people actually type — degraded two of seven engines. Doubao answered that there is no Hong Kong edition at all, describing a 2024 Taiwan-only “Street Fighter Run” and pointing readers at a different race. ChatGPT stalled behind a clarifying question while its visible images showed an unrelated 2024 SF6 esports tournament. Neither failure is cosmetic: a prospective runner asking the short form of the name gets denial or dead air.

Finding 3 — The Chinese name is where misinformation lives

On 「街頭霸王6路跑香港」, six engines were correct — but Doubao went further than omission: it asserted that 「Capcom 官方從來沒有辦過《街霸6》主題實體路跑」, interpreting 路跑 as the game's World Tour mode or esports tournaments. Meanwhile the event's own microsite was absent from the Chinese Google results page one (Google's own “Missing: 街頭霸王” hint says so) — Chinese-name visibility currently rides on Klook, a Facebook post and RunHotel, not on the organizer's site.

Finding 4 — Category queries: the discovery battleground

New participants do not search a name they do not know — they ask “what IP-themed runs are on in 2027?”. On those category queries the event charts on five of seven engines, twice at #1, but always in a field led elsewhere by Pokémon RUN 30 (January 2027) — and Copilot plus Doubao miss it entirely on both languages. Notably, the two #1 answers come from opposite engines in opposite languages: Gemini leads the Chinese category (“首推”), Perplexity leads the English one — and each misses the other's language.

QueryEngine(s)Result

Engine scorecard

Good verdicts across all five batteries (a verdict is good when the event is correctly described, listed or ranked):

EngineScoreNotable
Perplexity5/5🚀 #1 on the English category query — the only engine to name the event THE answer; Klook cited ×5
Google Search5/5Event present on every SERP — microsite #1 on the brand question, Klook #1 on keyword/zh/category
Google AI5/5Correct everywhere, #2 on both category queries — but shows event dates as “TBA” (stale)
ChatGPT4/5Correct on brand + zh name, #2 on both categories — stalled with a clarifying question on the bare keyword (images: an unrelated 2024 SF6 esports tournament)
Gemini4/5Correct + microsite cited on brand/zh — #1 (首推) on the Chinese category, entirely absent from the English one
Copilot3/5Correct on all three brand queries — missing from both category answers
Doubao1/5The session's clearest risk: “no Hong Kong edition” on the keyword; “Capcom has never held an SF6 run” on the Chinese name

Frequently Asked Questions

How was this AI visibility measured?

A fixed set of five real queries was put to a fixed set of seven engines (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google Search, Doubao, Perplexity), with dated screenshots as evidence — 35 in total, captured 22 October 2026 between 12:04 and 12:40. Every query in this case study is reproduced verbatim, so anyone can re-run the measurement themselves.

Why publish a baseline with no results yet?

Because the ruler comes before the race. This event has a hard start date (28 March 2027); knowing exactly which engines are correct, which are stale, and which deny the event exists — 157 days out — is what turns an optimisation budget into a fix list. A re-check against the same queries will show what moved. Our other case studies (FOIHK, I-Scream) follow the same evidence-first discipline, with before/after numbers.

Why does Doubao say the event does not exist?

Because the machine-readable evidence it retrieves for the Chinese name is dominated by other referents — the game's World Tour mode, esports tournaments, a 2024 Taiwan run with a similar name. The fix is first-party: an official Chinese-language page with structured event facts (dates, venue, ticketing) plus authoritative coverage, so the engine's retrieval has a correct source to stand on.

Why do category queries matter more than the brand name?

Because new participants do not yet know the name. The people who will fill the 1 km family run ask “what IP-themed runs are happening in 2027?” — and on those queries the event competes with Pokémon RUN 30 (January 2027) for the same weekend-activity budget. Category visibility is where incremental ticket revenue lives.
