Link Change Tracker
A backlink profile is not a number — it is a list that changes. The first check stores a snapshot of your referring domains. Every later check diffs against it and shows what arrived, what disappeared, and what is still there — with the date each new link first appeared.
What the diff tells you
- New sources — a mention, a roundup, a partner page, or a batch of bought links; the first-seen date is the clue
- Lost sources — pages edited, posts deleted, or a paid placement expiring
- Retained — the base that did not move, so a small delta is visible against a large profile
Why the date matters more than the count
A profile that grows by twelve links spread over three months reads as earned. Twelve links arriving on one day, from twelve domains with no other presence, reads as a purchase — and that is the pattern search engines penalise. The tracker puts a date on every arrival so the pattern is visible instead of buried in a total.
Honest scope
This is a manual tracker: we store your snapshot and show the diff whenever you check, at most once an hour per domain so each check is a real observation. Automated email alerts are not part of it yet — the page says so rather than promising a digest that never arrives.
