Redirect Chain Tracer

A redirect chain is a leak you cannot see from a browser. Paste any URL and the tracer follows it hop by hop — up to ten — recording each status code, the target it points at, and how long the hop took. Browsers hide this; crawlers do not.

What the chain costs you

The tool reads the chain for the problems that actually move rankings: three or more hops waste crawl budget and dilute link equity, 302s fail to consolidate signals the way 301s do, a chain that ends on http:// is an insecure downgrade, and a cross-domain hop moves equity between sites. Loops and dead ends are flagged as failures outright.

The link-recovery connection

If a redirect chain starts at a URL your backlinks point to, every hop is equity you are losing on links you already earned. Point the chain at its final target in one hop and the equity lands. The free backlink checker lists your broken and recoverable links so you know which URLs to inspect first.
